Medical Education is my passion
I was prepared for medical education with a doctorate in Anatomy and Neurobiology and 15 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner, with experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, Pain Management and Urgent Care.
I then moved to a specialty in Menopause Medicine, completing my Menopause Society Certified Practitioner exam in 2025. My own experience as a patient has strongly guided my interest in medicine - if I wasn’t getting good information as a patient, I knew there was a knowledge gap in my colleagues.
We are proud to launch the Menopause Medicine Essentials CME course for all clinicians caring for midlife women to help fill this gap with evidence-based, clnically relevant information.
There is a lot of information out there for women going through menopause, but without knowledgable clinicians, these informed patients will still not be able to access the care they need.
I have been a CME speaker at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine Family Medicine Review course for the past 10 years. Prior to that, I spoke widely at conferences focused on breastfeeding promotion and education.
